Jornada--retreat--in Cajon del Maipu, about 2 hours outside Santiago. Every 3 months we take a retreat outside the city to regroup and reflect about our experiences so far and the work we´re doing.
This place was incredible...it was an old estate passed down through the generations and then abandoned when the owner was exiled to Spain for his political views against Salvador Allende. Eventually, his daughter was able to return from exile as an adult and reclaim the property and transform it into a retreat center with spanish tiles, fruit trees, grape vines and a swimming pool.
